The Traveler’s Biography
Born out of the ashes of former rock band conglomerates, the Travelers have emerged as a powerhouse musical project combining generations of Rock and Roll credo, merged together as a powerful musical juggernaut.
The Travelers are comprised of a group of highly-skilled, seasoned musicians, each with varying skill sets, creating the flexibility of sharing responsibilities in the project, creating a complete musical package in which any given member has the ability to switch roles during a performance. The goal of the project is to produce an experience that transcends current commercial, mainstream music devoid of soul or identity, that connect the audience to the inspiration.
The project was originally founded by Dave Lenavitt (Ford City, PA) assembling the lineup that included Jeff Claypool (Ford City, PA) and Joe Caruso (Kittanning, PA) in 2012 as a means of expressing musical inspiration that had laid dormant, but needed to be realized once again. In 2013 the founding members decided to expand the collective, adding additional talents and invited Brian Shaffer (Kittanning, PA), Kary Claypool (Ford City, PA) and Lars Rosell (Dayton, PA) to the lineup. The project focuses on creating timeless music, focusing on strong musicianship, vocal prominence, merged together with a solid backline. By adding Snap Brandon in late 2014 the lineup now feel complete.
The Travelers are here to bring back the roots of Rock and Roll, “Traveling through and resurrecting eras of music past and present.”

The Travelers are a conglomeration of many great musicians and 2 of them can be traced back to the beginning of the Pennsylvania Rock Show’s history. What did you think of this episode?
