Appalachian Honey
Appalachian Honey is an acoustic Americana duo based in the hills of Western Pennsylvania. Featuring the charismatic vocals of Krissy Jo, and the glittering mandolin of Damon Dosch, the duo specializes in both original music, as well as covers of songs from multiple genres.
Krissy Jo is a singer songwriter with a heartfelt connection to folk, country, and rock music. With a voice that feels as warm and inviting as a country sunrise, she weaves tales of love, heartache, and resilience, drawing on her own experiences, as well as the stories of those around her. Listeners are drawn in by her sincere storytelling and soulful melodies, as she crafts songs that capture life’s simple yet profound moments.
Damon brings a unique sparkle with his musicianship that you might even say is sweeter than honey! Whether it be the mandolin, the tremolo, or the harp, you’ll be sure to enjoy all of the beautiful frills he entwines into each song.
Appalachian Honey was formed after the two met at an open mic night and discovered their mutual appreciation for the rich heritage of American music. Their songs resonate with authenticity, bringing listeners back to the roots of Appalachian country folk rock traditions, while adding their own unique touch.
In June 2025, they had the opportunity to open for Country music legend, Tracy Byrd. In September, Appalachian Honey was recognized as the "Best Country Artist" in the Pittsburgh City Paper's "Best of PGH" 2025 awards. The duo has been featured on Episodes 40, 44, and 46 of Jazz’s Rockin’ Road Show on MusicFromThe412.com, and "You're Still Around" is getting regular airplay on 97.7 “The Rock”. They are currently in the process of recording their first full length album.
